Bread is Easy is a free educational site about baking bread. It is run by one person. There is no advertising network, no data broker relationship, and no interest in selling your information.
Analytics. This site uses Vercel Analytics, which records page views and basic device information (browser, country, screen size). It does not use cookies and does not track you across sites. No personally identifiable information is collected by analytics.
Newsletter. If you subscribe to the newsletter, we store your email address to send you bread-related updates. We use Resend to send email. Your address is not shared with anyone else.
Course accounts. If you create an account to access the course, we store your email address and lesson progress. This data is held in Supabase and is used only to save your place in the course.
Payments. If you donate or purchase course access, payment is processed by Stripe. We do not store your card number. Stripe's privacy policy governs how your payment data is handled.
This site does not set tracking cookies. Vercel Analytics is cookieless. If you are signed into a course account, a session cookie is used to keep you logged in — it contains no personal information beyond a session identifier.
To unsubscribe from the newsletter, use the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any email. To delete your account or request a copy of your data, email chris@breadchris.com.
If this policy changes in a meaningful way, the date at the top of this page will be updated. There is no mailing list for policy updates.
